0:00 A flat image can become a dimensional souvenir. In this tutorial, we will create a townscape, turn it into a relief, refine the shape and colors, then export it and prepare a product listing.
0:13 Start in Image Studio and choose From text. Describe one souvenir design, its subject, and a simple background. Here, we are creating a townscape inspired by Saint-Emilion. A clear outline makes the next editing steps easier.
0:29 Compare the results before moving into 3D. Look for a clear silhouette, readable lettering, and details that will still make sense at the finished size. We will use this version with the town name across the top.
0:42 Download your selected image, then open Ornament and choose a photo. You can also start with an image you already have. This workflow turns that image into a relief, rather than reconstructing a complete object from every side.
0:56 Review the image in the preparation window, then generate the relief. Printara builds depth from the image. The processing wait is shortened here; once the result appears, inspect it from more than one angle.
1:09 Rotate the ornament to see its depth. Photo shows the image appearance, Filament previews a limited color palette, and Clay makes the relief easier to inspect without the image colors. These views help you judge different aspects of the same design.
1:24 Our source image includes a white outer border. Use Select area to target that background, check what is selected, and delete it. Keep the intended outline and lettering intact. Rotate the result again to check the edge.
1:38 The Colors panel offers four, eight, twelve, or sixteen filament colors. Choose a count your printing setup can actually handle. The photo can contain many shades, so the filament result is an approximation, not a full-color photograph.
1:55 Open Shape to inspect the base, width, and relief settings. Important: this panel rebuilds the relief and resets paint and height edits. In your own workflow, settle the shape first, then do your final painting and cleanup.
2:10 Raised, Carved, and Flat give the design different surface treatments. Relief height controls the depth, while the bend controls change the overall curvature. Compare the side view as you adjust the settings, and check that fine details suit your intended print size.
2:27 When the shape and colors look right, save the ornament to your designs. Save the final state before creating a listing, so you are working from the version you actually intend to share or sell.
2:39 AI photos can help present the design in context. Choose the product type and a scene, such as a fridge magnet shown in a hand. The current Photo view is used as the reference, so check that view before generating.
2:52 Review the generated image against your actual ornament. Check its shape, text, colors, and apparent scale. It is a product visualization, not a photograph of a tested print, and it does not change the model geometry.
3:07 Download the ornament in the format you need. The multicolor 3MF is the option demonstrated here in Bambu Studio. STL carries the geometry without the color palette. GLB is useful for a 3D preview, not a printer toolpath.
3:24 Open the 3MF in your slicer and verify the dimensions and assigned filaments. This is still preparation, not a print test. Choose your printer and material settings, slice the model, and inspect the layers before printing. Detailed models can also take longer to process.
3:42 To prepare a listing, open Sell and review the generated title and description. Check the price and included formats yourself. Make it clear whether you are offering downloadable files or a finished physical item; those are different products.
3:57 Finally, inspect the product page, its model preview, and its photos. That is the complete path: create an image, build and refine the ornament, verify the export, and present the result. Start with a small test print before committing to a larger batch.
No. It turns the image into a relief with depth, rather than reconstructing a complete object from every side.
Four, eight, twelve or sixteen. The filament result is an approximation of the image, not a full color photograph.
The Shape panel rebuilds the relief and resets paint and height edits. Settle the shape first, then do the final painting and cleanup.

Yes. The narration is available in English, Czech, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and German, with a transcript of each version. The recorded Printara interface stays in English.
